A Fond du Lac man who holds the world record for"Most Big Macs Consumed is eating his 30,000th Big Mac today

As the Fond du Lac Reporter reports, Don Gorske ate his first Big Mac in 1972 at the same McDonald's where he chowed down his 30,000th, and he's only missed about eight days in between.

The grandfather claims that 90 percent of his diet consists of Big Macs. But not before buying a second Big Mac.

These kudos as well came straight from national headquarters: "We are lovin' Don Gorske's enthusiasm for our iconic Big Mac sandwich and appreciate his ongoing loyalty".

"This one is a biggie for me, something I have been looking forward to".

The Wisconsin man celebrated his achievement at the McDonald's on Military Road in Fond Du Lac. Well, he can certainly demonstrate that he paid for them, as he added: "People like to see proof". When a tornado tore the soffits from his home on June 2, 1990, Don says he lost about 700 Styrofoam containers. Gorske says that the only reason that he has achieved this feat is - well - he just really likes burgers.

Despite axe from Transparent, Jeffrey Tambor will return to Arrested Development
Creator of the series Mitch Hurwitz announced the remix of the fourth season earlier this week. Still, many wondered if he would be included in the new season of Arrested Development .

"People make fun of me, but it never bothered me". At Don's last checkup both his cholesterol and blood pressure were just fine.

Gorske also collects mementos of his Big Mac orders. He made a promise to his mum who made him promise not to eat a Big Mac on the day she died on 27 April 1988.

He takes the burger as is comes: beef patty, special sauce, lettuce (he remembers, in 1984, when McDonald's switched to shredded), gherkins, onions, sesame seed bun.

Gorske has appeared in numerous television shows including Rachel Ray Show, Oprah, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Inside Edition, and Lopez Tonight. He was featured in the movie "Supersize Me".

Gorske ran the San Diego Marathon in 2006 - carrying his 21,387th Big Mac over the finish line.
