The Wildcats lost in a playoff to Jacksonville for the final NCAA Championship spot out of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional in 2017. The top five teams from the region advanced to the NCAA championships, scheduled for later this month. Kansas (563), ranked No. 43 in the nation, is in third and just one stroke back of the co-leaders, while No. 18 Stanford (568) and No. 31 TCU (569) round out the top five.

One day after shooting a ten under 274 to open regional play, the Yellow Jackets as a team shot a five under 279 to keep themselves in the hunt at the NCAA Regionals. Junior Garrett May carded the Bears' final counting score on Wednesday with a 1-over 73. Seniors Dylan Wu and Sam Triplett finished in 16th and 42nd place respectively.

Furr, who is from Jackson, native entered the day in 37th position after carding a 1-over par 73 Monday, but he moved into a tie for fourth entering the final round of the three-day 54-hole event at 7-under par 137 (73-64). Texas Tech, Iowa State and Baylor also have qualified for the NCAA Championships.

NDSU sophomore Andrew Israelson finished tied for 23rd with a 1-under-par 215 (72-71-72) over the three rounds. Murlick's performance broke the Marquette record for a 54-hole performance at an NCAA regional.

The soon-to-be Ensign in the United States Navy finished 68th with a 16-over par 232. Overall, he tied for 58th with a 5-over par 221 (72-76-73). Phillips edged Clemson's Doc Redman and teammate Brandon Smith, who both shot 10 under par for the tournament.
