Rockets PG Paul to miss Game 6 with hamstring strain

Paul injured his hamstring later in the game and his status for Game 6 of the Western Conference finals is undetermined.

The Cavs and the Warriors have met in each of the three previous NBA Finals, with Golden State winning twice.

Draymond Green all but guaranteed that Golden State would win Game 6 Saturday night and extend the series, telling ESPN, "We'll be back here for Game 7".

Unfortunately for the Rockets, Paul aggravated a previous hamstring injury in the final minute of Thursday's Game 5 win.

In the contest, Paul had 20 points, all but two in the second half, plus seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.

"We don't want to come and be pouting around", he said. Houston made 13 of 43 3-pointers, led by four from Gordon.

The Mexican-born star subsequently claimed that one way to achieve equality would be for actors to spurn "inflated fees". And I think we should enjoy it". "It was a strategy by the lawyers because we are the easiest to get discredited ".

The Warriors forward is dealing with a left leg contusion that kept him on the sideline for Games 4 and 5 of the series.

"It will not change anything we do and how we do it", D'Antoni said, although he noted the rotation could expand to eight or nine players. The Warriors, on the other hand, are desperately trying to avoid going down a game and having to deal with a potential Game 7 in Houston.

The Warriors opened as a 10.5-point favorite for Game 6 at several sportsbooks.

The Rockets have not reached the Finals since they managed it on successive occasions in in 1994 and 1995. "Injuries happen and we've just got to play with whoever is out there".

"Because I think the way we've played the last two games, we've played good enough to win and just haven't gotten the job done", he said.

The Rockets believe they can absorb this loss and don't seem daunted by the setback, noting that they found ways to win in the regular season in many games where Paul sat out with injuries. But trying to close out this Warriors team without Paul will be a monumental challenge for the Rockets. Once again the Warriors played without Andre Iguodala, and once again they had a last-gasp possession that went awry.
