Here we can also see that it retains the physical keyboard that was found in the Blackberry KeyOne. We've now come to now that BlackBerry's NY event on June 7 will not be the only event that BlackBerry will host in order to promote the release of its upcoming smartphone.

Thanks to the serial leakster known as Evan Blass, we now know that the BlackBerry Key2 totes a 4.5-inch IPS LCD with 1620 x 1080 resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio.

In view of the launch, the alleged images of the new device were leaked online and gave us an idea of what we can expect in tomorrow's official announcement. Just a few short days before that event, Evan Blass has taken to Twitter to share a few press renders of the upcoming phone. The QWERTY keyboard of the BlackBerry KEY2 is likely to support gestures. On the front, you'll find an 8-megapixel camera that can record video in 1080p.

That being said, the changes in design are not noticeable at the first glance.

Big cats swim out of pens at German zoo
Police told The Sun that the animals broke out of the Eifel Zoo, located near the borders of Luxembourg and Belgium. Those living nearby have also been asked to report any sightings of the big cats, now loose in Western Germany.

If earlier rumours are to be believed, the incoming BlackBerry Key2 will also feature a 4.5in 1080x16020 touchscreen, 6GB RAM, 64GB built-in storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD, a 3,360mAh battery and Android 8.1.

The leaked images show the rear dual camera system that will adorn the Blackberry Key2. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor embedded under the spacebar key.

While modern BlackBerry phones come with additional security features that harken back to BlackBerry's legacy, they are otherwise pretty generic Android phones that really only stand out thanks to the BlackBerry name. Whereas the previous iteration only had one camera sensor, the new Key2 will have dual camera setup. In terms of connectivity, the handset has FM radio, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

All is set to be revealed on June 7 U.S. time so we won't have long to wait before we hear the official details, as well as how the new keyboard will function.
