Marcus Rashford opened the scoring with a tremendous long-range strike into the top corner, beating Keylor Navas in goal for Costa Rica.

Pleasing performances from a number of players during Thursday night's win over Costa Rica, in particular Marcus Rashford, have given Southgate welcome selection dilemmas ahead of England's first group stage game against Tunisia.

"Football's coming home" chanted fans throughout a largely encouraging display from Southgate's young squad, who have a brief break before meeting up and heading to Russian Federation on Tuesday.

The game is England's first home appointment away from Wembley since May, 2016 and it will be the third time that the nation have played a fixture at Leeds United.

"We made 10 changes and maintained the momentum with what we are doing", said England boss Southgate.

"It means a lot to be involved but going to the World Cup and playing a major part in my main aim", said the 20-year-old Rashford.

Subsequently, too there was a huge transaction between Jalan and Khan. "Jalan also threatened him after that", said he said. Police say they have smashed a number of betting syndicates across India during this year´s season, which ended last week.

It would have been more had the Three Lions showed a cutting edge, but there was far more to shout about in comparison to the countries' last meeting at the World Cup four years ago.

Phil Jones clipped the crossbar with a header but it was Rashford who looked brightest in a positive early spell for England, and it was fitting for him to break the deadlock.

Southgate said he was delighted to have such competition for places.

The Leicester City striker had just seven touches in the first half, fewer than any other player on the pitch and was the first to be taken off for Danny Welbeck after 61 minutes.

His value will come later in the tournament as England face up against the bigger teams, should they get that far, looking to exploit on the counter with the Three Lions' backs against the wall. Navas may have enjoyed his clash with English opposition in the Champions League football but this was a different story! Should Alexander-Arnold impress against Costa Rica, Kieran Trippier could lose his place.
