First Man Poster Takes One Small Step for Poster Kind

That's the pitch for Ryan Gosling's latest cinematic adventure as the versatile actor steps into the especially famous shoes of Neil Armstrong; the first man to walk on the surface of the moon.

Fans received their first look at the clip during Friday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost-on Armstrong and on the nation-of one of the most risky missions in history. Armstrong's wife, Janet, is played by Claire Foy.

Other stars in the film include Kyle Chandler, Pablo Schreiber and Jason Clarke. We then get a glimpse at several key moments in Armstrong's life as he prepares to become the first human being ever to set foot on the moon.

Following the first poster drop earlier today, Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for First Man.

First Man launches on 12 October this year.
