Trump calls Manafort prosecution ‘a hoax,’ says Sessions should stop Mueller investigation

"I think our decisions will get made in the next week to 10 days", the former New York City mayor said.

She disputed the notion that Trump was directing Sessions to take action.

Sessions infuriated the president by recusing himself from the Russian Federation investigation last March before Mueller was appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who's overseeing the inquiry and has defended the special counsel.

"This is a awful situation and Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further", the president tweeted.

Trump has harangued Mueller for including too many Democratic investigators and even made wrong claims about what precipitated the Russian Federation investigation.

But Mr Manafort is not accused of aiding Russia's alleged attempts to sway the 2016 presidential election Mr Trump's way, a focus of the Mueller investigation. Trump has been more frustrated since headlines about his former attorney Michael Cohen emerged last week. They also pressed Mueller's investigators to demonstrate that they could not obtain the information they were seeking without interviewing the President.

Coats also said: "The intelligence community continues to be concerned about the threats of upcoming us elections, both the midterms and the presidential elections of 2020".

In testimony to the U.S. Senate judiciary committee, Trump Jr. stated that he couldn't recall whether he had spoken to Agalarov about the meeting. "Quite frankly, a lot of what we've had to work through over months and months is working with the states to make sure the states are in a place that they wanna be able to sign off on this bill".

A Justice Department spokesperson had no comment on the tweet when reached by Fox News.

‘Collusion Is Not a Crime’
Mueller is investigating whether Trump campaign officials worked with Moscow to try to sway the 2016 USA presidential election . Trump's latest tweets come as a criminal trial gets under way Tuesday for Trump's former campaign chief, Paul Manafort .

Back in Russian Federation, he was named as Commercial Director of the Crocus Group and was later promoted to Vice President in 2012 and Executive Vice President in 2014.

President Trump escalated his attacks on special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia Probe Wednesday.

US intelligence officials are anxious Russian Federation and perhaps other foreign actors look to interfere in November's elections, just as Moscow did in 2016, members of President Donald Trump's national security team said Thursday. "There is now highly credible evidence that the president of the United States is committing obstruction of justice in real time, right before our eyes". "This is an attempt to obstruct justice hiding in plain sight. America must never accept it", he wrote.

Trump's Mueller problems are mounting.

US attorneys are prosecuting Manafort on charges of failing to pay taxes on millions he made from his work for a Russia-friendly Ukrainian political party and then lying to get loans when the cash stopped coming in. While prosecutors have said they will not present evidence in this trial about possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, they may dig deeper into Manafort's connections with Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs, legal experts have said.

"No collusion" - it's a defense President Trump has used against allegations that his campaign worked with Russian Federation to win the 2016 presidential election.

Six Republican senators going into a vote on Wednesday disapproved of Trump's tweet calling for an end to the probe. He has repeatedly criticized Sessions for recusing himself and CNN has previously reported that Trump pressured the attorney general on multiple occasions to overturn his recusal.

Now, following the lead of his attorney Rudy Giuliani, Trump Tuesday added that "collusion is no crime".
