The 29-year-old is West Ham's seventh signing of the close season.

With the Baggies unable to offer Premier League football like West Ham, they would have to convince him to turn down a move to London.

Perez becomes the eighth player to join West Ham ahead of the 2018-19 season, and he will compete with fellow new signing Andriy Yarmolenko for a place in Manuel Pellegrini's starting line-up.

"I'm very happy to be here at such an historic club", he said in a statement on West Ham's website.

Champions League hat-trick aside, Perez never got going for the Gunners after joining from Deportivo la Coruna for £17million, and will therefore undoubtedly retain "flop" statue forever more.

Perez was signed from Deportivo La Coruna for £17m in the summer of 2016 but failed to establish himself as a regular in the team.

North Korea: US Sanctions Pressure ‘Outdated Acting Script’
The UN Security Council first imposed sanctions on North Korea after its first nuclear test in 2006. The United States was "attempting to invent a pretext for increased sanctions against the DPRK".

Chicharito added: "The manager called me before the World Cup because he knew my situation was hard at the end of last season, and he made me feel very good".

West Ham director of football Mario Husillos is confident Perez will prove another valuable addition. He scores goals, but can also create them and link well with the midfielders.

'I'm very happy to be here.

"Lucas also has experience of the Premier League with Arsenal, and is familiar with life here in London, which of course means that he will take less time to adapt and be ready".

The Spaniard hasn't forgotten his former teammates as well as the love and support the fans showed him since his arrival at the Emirates two years ago and wished the club the best for the future.
