Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov do not deny the British claims that they travelled from London to Salisbury twice.

The two Russian men charged with poisoning double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury have been having their say.

"An illegal chemical weapon has been used on the streets of this country".

Britain alleges the nerve agent used to poison the Skripals was carried in a perfume vial, which Boshirov dismissed by saying, "Don't you think it's kind of stupid for two straight men to carry perfume for ladies?"

"We have repeatedly asked Russian Federation to account for what happened in Salisbury in March and they have replied with obfuscation and lies". We'll see soon... They are civilians of course.

Petrov and Boshirov, who say they own a sports nutrition business, said "maybe" they approached former Russian spy Sergei Skripal's house, "but we don't know where it is located".

They said they did not work for GRU, were ordinary businessmen, and the victim of what they called "a fantastical coincidence". "What is our fault?"

In the men's first interview since they were named publicly they denied carrying women's perfume, after police discovered a counterfeit bottle that contained a "significant amount" of Novichok.

In fact, it had an RT promo cut into the middle of the interview and then cut out really abruptly as they were speaking mid-sentence. When asked about recent trips to Switzerland they said that they were just looking for new innovations.

The British Government says the two Russians suspected of being behind the poisonings in Salisbury have "insulted the public's intelligence" by claiming they were just normal tourists.

Who's Afraid of the Sweden Democrats?
Both of the main blocs had indicated before the election that they would refuse to govern with the Sweden Democrats. Victory for the Sweden Democrats means that neither of these blocks got anything close to a parliamentary majority.

"There is nothing special or criminal about it, I can assure you..."

According to The Daily Mail, on the eve of the assassination of Bashirov and Petrov brought into the room of the prostitute.

The men, who appeared to be about 40, claimed they did not know who Mr Skripal was or where he lived.

The source said that after registering at the hotel City Stay Hotel in London Bashirov and Petrov could meet this doctor and another assistant, working at the Russian Embassy.

The pair said that they had never dealt with the media before and if Putin had not urged them to speak out they would have recorded a video statement.

Craig Murray, a former official who has faced criticism for pushing debunked conspiracy theories related to the poisoning, claimed on Twitter after the interview that the "most likely interpretation is that they are a gay couple..."

He wouldn't elaborate on how long it took the Russian authorities to find the two men, and said that the Kremlin had nothing to do with arranging their interview.

In an interview with RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, the two men displayed a detailed knowledge of Salisbury cathedral, noting its 123-meter spire and clock, the "first of its kind anywhere in the world". "Therefore it can not say: "Sorry, we made a bad mistake here".

"We have seen four people left seriously ill in hospital and an innocent woman has died". United Kingdom authorities blamed two former Russian agents, Andrei Lugovoi and Dmitri Kovtun, for the murder.
