The office is located at 1850 Demming Way in Middleton, located about seven miles west of Madison and 90 miles west of Milwaukee.

Madison College also sent out a statement: "There is no active threat on campus at this time".

Federal and local officials responded to calls of an active shooter, with dozens of police vehicles and ambulances rushing to the scene.

The shooting was reported around 10 a.m.at WTS Paradigm.

The State Journal reports that the Dane County dispatch center said shots have been fired at Esker Software in Middleton.

Police were responding to a report of an active shooter at an office building in Middleton, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. She provided no additional information.

"There is an actives hooter in the area, please lock all doors, stay inside, and shelter in place". There are 34 stores and restaurants in the center that were temporarily closed, Kautzky said.

NBC 15 spoke to employees who work at a building next door who said they saw employees running from the neighboring building.
