She fed formula to two of the elephants raised at Nairobi National Park and reached out to others, patting one's back and stroking the ear of another.

The young elephants looked to be having the time of their lives, as their carers and Melania's attentive bodyguards watched on.

Nairobi motorists should brace themselves for a day of heavy traffic as US First Lady Melania Trump tours the city. Afterwards, she visited the slave dungeon of the Cape Coast Castle.

On her Kenyan leg of the trip, Melania is expected to visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, hold meetings at State House and be entertained at the Kenya National Theatre.

Egypt will be her final stop on her tour of the continent that focuses on child welfare, education, tourism and conservation. Lawmakers essentially ignored those requests.

However, Phiri said the protesters could have done better, observing that the timing of their actions did not tally with the work the U.S. first lady came to do in the country.

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta will also be in attendance.

Paul Scholes - Jose Mourinho 'embarrasing' for Manchester United
City suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Lyon in their first Group F game while Hoffenheim drew 2-2 at Shakhtar Donetsk. The visitors pushed for a victor , with Aguero and Raheem Sterling both thwarted by Oliver Baumann in the Hoffenheim goal.

The first lady landed in the capital of Lilongwe on Thursday morning after a six-hour flight from Ghana.

The event was to "highlight friendly US-Malawi relations" and the pair's "shared interest in helping children and, in particular, helping girls in school", according to the White House.

One said #MELANIATOO, with the "ME" in bold black.

Another sign read, "69 Days Past the Deadline to Reunite Families", in reference to Trump's zero-tolerance immigration policy.

Also at the airport to receive her was US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec and Mrs Kenyatta's Chief of Staff Constance Gakonyo, among others.

Another key objective of her tour is to promote "education, healthcare, some conservation, and tourism".

"Trump's motorcade traveled along a roadside where a handful of white protesters greeted the first lady with handmade signs, including a couple that said "Me Too" and "#notashithole!"
