Brewers’ manager stays aggressive with the bullpen but will they have enough left in the tank to finish off the Dodgers

Clayton Kershaw bounced back from one of his worst postseason starts with one of his best, pitching the Los Angeles Dodgers past the Milwaukee Brewers 5-2 Wednesday to move one win from a return trip to the World Series.

The Dodgers were crowned division champions for the sixth straight season and are in the NLCS for the third straight October, but the franchise still is searching for its first World Series title since 1988. I really am. It's been a great run.

He said the Dodgers' play in Game 1 was "unacceptable". "I think it was the first time I ever got mobbed out in the outfield". Domingo Santana contributed an RBI pinch-hit double. Junior Guerra took the loss in relief as he surrendered one earned run on two hits with four strikeouts and no walks over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out nine, all on breaking pitches, and walked two.

Just two of the Brewers' hits went for extra bases.

Max Muncy hit a go-ahead single in the sixth inning for the defending NL champs.

The Brewers had announced left-hander Wade Miley as their Game 5 starter on short rest, and did indeed send him out to pitch to leadoff man Cody Bellinger.

Turner is aware there's hardly room for the Dodgers to let up heading into Game 6 of the NLCS.

Sheriff: Missing Wisconsin teenager in danger, not a runaway
But the Federal Bureau of Investigation is pleading for more help in finding the girl, who is the subject of an Amber Alert. The tipster said the girl they saw was riding in the back of a black Ford Explorer with a Wisconsin license plate.

They have Justin Verlander and mostly reliable Dallas Keuchel, but Houston's relievers need to start showing up (we're looking at you, Roberto Osuna) if they want to prevent Boston's powerhouse players from doing major damage at the plate (we're looking at you, Jackie Bradley Jr.).

But Milwaukee lost for just the second time in its last 15 games because the Brewers didn't generate almost enough offence to back their pitching staff, which turned in another stellar night of work.

Enrique Hernandez was none too pleased on how the Dodgers played during the 4-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, nor with how the fan base acted throughout the defeat. That is the three-letter abbreviation for Milwaukee, and a reminder that the Brewers' only task left, after a 162-game season and spirited playoff run, is to not let the Dodgers win another contest at Miller Park. With fans on their feet, pinch-hitter Travis Shaw struck out with a runner on third to end the inning.

After Wednesday's game, the series shifts back to Milwaukee for Game 6 on Friday.

The Brewers' Curtis Granderson had a pinch-hit RBI double in the ninth inning off Ryan Madson.

The Dodgers said tickets were still available for Game 5, which begins at 2:05 p.m. PDT. Both were good enough, though, and the game came down to a battle of the bullpens - where rough outings for Corbin Burnes and Jeremy Jeffress helped drown the Brew Crew.
