The vehicle plunged into a section of the Yangtze River in the city of Chongqing city, killing all 15 people on board, including the driver.

The video cuts off a second after the bus crashes through the barrier and, just for a moment, shows the blue of the water into which the bus plunged.

"Police said the passenger, identified as a 48-year-old woman with the surname Liu, was angry that the bus had missed her stop", the BBC reports.

Authorities have released footage of the accident, as recovered from the bus' black box.

Dashcam footage from an oncoming vehicle shows the bus veering off its lane, colliding with a auto and smashing through a bridge guardrail before plunging into the river. The footage shows the fight between the driver and the woman.

The bus was pulled out of the Yangtze early Thursday morning as Chongqing residents looked on.

The driver turned his head to face her several times in the argument.

Rumours prompted calls to ban female drivers, as the vehicle that the bus hit was driven by a woman. The driver, with one hand on the wheel, hits back. Thirteen bodies have been found and two were still missing, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

After the driver refused to stop, Liu hit the driver's head with her cellphone. The driver responds with a blow of his own and then grapples with the woman briefly before suddenly sharply turning the wheel to the left, causing the bus to crash into oncoming traffic, smash through a wall, and fall into the Yangzte as passengers scream in terror.

A Wanzhou police statement said the driver and the passenger broke the law with their actions because they seriously endangered public safety.
