Saudi Arabia sent two experts to Istanbul with the specific aim of covering up evidence after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at its consulate in Istanbul, a Turkish official said on Monday.

After first insisting Khashoggi left the consulate unharmed, Saudi authorities said he was killed in an argument that degenerated into a brawl before finally accepting what Turkey had said virtually from the start - that he was killed in a premeditated hit.

The newspaper alleges the team visited the building every day from 12 October until the 17 October, before leaving the country three days later.

Saudi authorities have so far said that they do not know the whereabouts of the journo's body, which is widely believed to be dismembered or dissolved in acid, or both.

"All what we want right now is to bury him in Al-Baqi (cemetery) in Medina (Saudi Arabia) with the rest of his family", Salah Khashoggi said in an interview, filmed in Washington.

Trudeau's Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland said that Canada views the Saudi regime's explanations about Khashoggi's death as "not consistent", "not coherent" and "not credible".

Cavusoglu said Tuesday that after multiple conversations with Saudi King Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is convinced the king was not involved.

"The question now is who gave the orders".

The crown prince has been accused of either masterminding or knowingly permitting Khashoggi's killing in Turkey.

Unbeaten Sarri equals Premier League record as Chelsea march on
Chelsea will be looking to continue their good start to the new Premier League season when they face Crystal Palace on Sunday. And Pedro made it 3-1 by meeting Marcos Alonso's low cross with an emphatic first-time finish with 20 minutes remaining.

Both Turkish and Saudi officials are investigating the killing.

Forty member states reiterated their request for an investigation, as well as reform of Saudi Arabia's laws regarding freedom of expression.

SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son on Monday signaled that the murder of Saudi Arabian dissident Jamal Khashoggi would not change his company's business relationship with the Kingdom.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an op-ed in the Washington Post last week that the order to kill Khashoggi came from the highest level of the Saudi Government and added that the worldwide community had the responsibility to "reveal the puppet masters" behind the slaying.

Meanwhile, several dozen members of the Saudi elite are believed to still be imprisoned one year after Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince, ordered widespread arrests of princes and business leaders.

"I really hope that whatever happened wasn't painful for him, or it was quick", Abdullah Khashoggi said.

Ankara has also demanded Riyadh co-operate in finding Mr. Khashoggi's body, which Istanbul's chief prosecutor said had been dismembered.

Saudi Arabia's conduct of the war also came under new scrutiny after the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. "This will happen. Otherwise Saudi wouldn't have started an internal investigation", Salah said.
