Mika missing at Morning Joe after calling Pompeo ‘a wannabe dictator’s butt boy

"Morning Joe" co-anchor Mika Brzezinski had to apologize for a slur she made against Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on her show Wednesday morning.

Twitter user G.E. Anderson tweeted that he was "with" Brzezinski until the "butt boy" comment. To this point, Kilmeade asked Pompeo "we know the prince knows, right?" "Are the pathetic deflections that we just heard ... is that a patriot speaking, or a wannabe dictator's butt boy?". I'm dead serious, I'm asking: "are these the words of a patriot?"

"SUPER BAD choice of words", she wrote on Twitter.

Brzezinski eventually expressed regret on Twitter, but many industry watchdogs didn't feel her apology was sufficient.

"Outrageous", Grenell wrote Wednesday after Brzezinski's comment went viral.

"Trump added on Twitter, ".She will probably be given a pass, despite their bad ratings.

Raiders owner Mark Davis calls lawsuit by Oakland 'meritless and malicious'
Oakland is not asking the court to block the Raiders move, but the city is seeking the maximum amount of damages available. The team has been on a year-to-year lease agreement with the Coliseum.

Brzezinski's comments were immediately chastised online, including by a photographer who accused her of trying to "equate homosexuality with Mike Pompeo carrying water for the murderous regime in Saudi Arabia". "Sexualizing gay people this way is created to control them & minimize our worth", he said. The direct evidence, this is what I've said before, the direct evidence isn't yet available.

Trump has often criticized Brezinski and her husband and co-host, Joe Scarborough, for their unflattering coverage of his administration. Brzezinski didn't offer a direct apology to the LGBT community for using the homophobic slur, she did make a direct apology to Sen.

Brzezinski's remark is hardly the first instance when critics of Donald Trump have used homophobic biases to target him or his policies.

Brzezinski was absent from the MSNBC program Thursday, which a spokesman said was a planned day off to deal with a family matter.

The mounting controversy caught the eye of the president's son Donald Trump Jr. who, rather than making a point about homophobia, drew a comparison with comedian Kevin Hart, who withdrew from hosting the Oscars last week, after old homophobic tweets and jokes were unearthed.
