Brooks, the No. 25 pick by the Celtics in 2011, is averaging 6.6 points in 29 games.

Bulls head coach Jim Boylen confirmed that rookie Chandler Hutchison will start at SF against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night.

This season, Selden made 32 appearances with the Grizzlies. During his National Basketball Association career, Brooks has also played for the Celtics, Warriors, Lakers and Grizzlies, averaging 8.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.

Both 6-foot-5 guards have expiring contracts. There's a chance he becomes a solid piece as he ages, one the Bulls could potentially flip somewhere else eventually if his 3-point shot picks up again. I can shoot it, I can create off the dribble, try to be the best defender I can be, give all my effort on the defensive end and just try to keep getting better.

Meanwhile, members of the Louisville Metro Police Department were particularly impacted by the tragedy. Here are a few more tweets from police departments who truly understand the gravity of this loss.

The Bulls will have to waive a player for the trade to be finalized. "The guy who comes in, obviously we're looking at him and expecting him to help us with that". Making a big move when the time and circumstances align is fine and good, but teams get in those positions by nailing a bunch of smaller moves first.

The one complication from Chicago's perspective was trading one player for two with a full roster, which means the Bulls had to waive backup guard Cameron Payne.

Before this trade, the Bulls didn't have a second-round pick in 2019, having parted with it in a trade of Jose Calderon to the Lakers in July 2016 as part of a quest to clear cap space to sign Dwyane Wade.
