Several guns were recovered from the home where Jayme was held, including a shotgun "consistent" with the gun used in the attack at the Closs home, Fitzgerald said.

"Everybody has been praying for her and I think no matter where you go it's always a little chatter", said Jim Helman, who works at Tru Value. He says Jayme told Federal Bureau of Investigation agents that she didn't know Patterson at all.

Kasinskas said she knew of Patterson but didn't know him well.

Patterson was unemployed at the time of his arrest but worked one day in 2016 at the same Jennie-O turkey plant in Barron as Closs's parents. He quit the next day, saying he was moving, Mr Steve Lykken said. James Kuffel, the township's lone constable, said he knows nearly everyone in the area but has never encountered the Pattersons. Investigators are trying to determine whether he worked at another job in the area.

Thousands of volunteers and hundreds of law enforcement officers had been searching around the clock for her after her parents were found shot dead in their home, the front door open and the girl gone. Englehardt couldn't stay standing when she learned Jayme was finally found. Their bodies were discovered on October 15. When the dispatcher called back, a voicemail greeting indicated the phone belonged to Denise Closs, 46.

The girl's name rose to the top of the FBI's missing persons list, and authorities offered a US$50,000 reward for information leading to her recovery.

"I don't recall anything that would have explained this, by any means".

Authorities said Jayme was skinny, disheveled and wearing shoes too big for her when she approached a stranger and pleaded for help Thursday in the small north woods town of Gordon, about 60 miles (100 kilometers) from her hometown of Barron.

She escaped Thursday from a northwestern Wisconsin cabin where she'd been held.

Still, Straub says Jayme's case gives several lessons.

New HTC Vive Headsets Argue Virtual Reality Is Still A Thing
With the move, Firefox Reality is also taking the jump to the desktop, and becoming available on HTC's Vive and Vive Pro headset. While the exact specs of the headset are still a mystery, the main focus of the Vive Cosmos is simplicity.

He said it is also important for Jayme to know that "anything you're thinking and feeling is normal".

They sought refuse with husband and wife Kristin and Peter Kasinskas while the police turned up.

"Probably one of the more hard issues is going to be finding that new sense of normalcy in her life", said Smart, a 31-year-old mother of three. "She did not go into detail about how she got out of the house or anything like that".

Less than 15 minutes later, Jake Patterson, 21, was in custody after police pulled over his vehicle, based on Closs' description.

The two women urged the media and well-wishers to give Jayme and her relatives privacy as they reconnect with each other, and Smart said she hoped Jayme's story would serve as a reminder to the public.

While the young man worked at the same meat processing plant as Jayme's parents almost three years ago, he did so for only one day and police said there is no evidence that there was any contact between them.

Jake Thomas Patterson, 21, of Gordon, Wisconsin, was arrested soon thereafter, and charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the killings of Jayme's parents and one count of kidnapping.

Jayme was taken to a hospital in Minnesota after she was found, her aunt, Sue Allard, said.

Elizabeth Smart, who was held captive for nine months as a teenager after her 2002 abduction in Utah, posted a photo of Closs on Instagram, praising the "miracle" that she had been found.

"She is doing great", Fitzgerald told CNN's "Anderson Cooper Full Circle".
