US House Democrats Seek Criminal Probe of Jared Kushner Over Security Clearance

The House Judiciary Committee is launching a sweeping new probe of US President Donald Trump, his White House, his campaign and his businesses, sending document requests to 81 people linked to the president and his associates.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller, meanwhile, is expected to deliver a potentially explosive report to the attorney general regarding his almost two-year probe into Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 USA presidential election and interactions between Trump's campaign associates and Russian officials.

A former White House special counsel considers special prosecutor Robert Mueller "an American hero".

The White House has beefed up its legal team.

If the Trump Organization has knowingly profited handsomely by this business, it could violate the USA constitution's "emoluments" rules which seek to prevent a president from making a business out of his White House tenure.

Congressional Democrats are calling for a criminal investigation into presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner over several allegedly "false statements" he made to federal investigators in service of obtaining his long-sought-after Top Secret security clearance.

"It's too bad, because I'd rather see them do legislation", Trump told reporters at an afternoon White House event, during which he ticked off a few issues on which he said he and Democrats could work together. 81 letter sent to innocent people to harass them.

"OK", she paused, "so now you're not sure he's obstructed justice?"

NDSU Bison meet with President Trump
The champion North Dakota State Bison football team was in town, and McDonald's and Chick-Fil-A were on the lunch menu. While they didn't expect there to be any food, Trump made sure the players were treated to some burgers and fries.

House Democrats could have all the evidence in the world that Trump committed what they consider an impeachable offense.

Cobb, who left the White House past year, made the glowing statements amid reports Mueller's report could soon be released. It is unclear how many will eventually be called in for interviews.

The Judiciary Committee is investigating possible obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power. I mean, that's all these people know how to do.

Co-host Meghan McCan (pictured above right) admitted, "It's hard to tune into which investigation is going on" because "there's a lot of investigations going on". "They didn't give a letter", he said.

Those criminal probes and others could carry on for months if not years after Mueller completes his Russian Federation investigation, potentially casting an even longer shadow over Trump's time in the Oval Office. The Senate panel's parallel probe has been much more professionally handled, with sober bipartisan leadership, but its resources and powers are incomplete, so its 'no collusion' findings can not be considered conclusive. "Follow the money. Stop worrying about collusion", McCain recommended.

McCain said that if the Emoluments Clause "ends up being what gets" Trump, then Hostin needs to add that to her bio because of her strong interest in whether Trump violated it or not.

"We are WINNING big, the envy of the WORLD, but just think what it could be?" "And if you're the Oversight Committee, that's what you need to look at", Hostin recommended.

But Democratic congressional leaders including Nadler and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have been reticent about pushing for the president's impeachment. "It's like they threw the kitchen sink out there". After all, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has not officially ended his probe, and when he does, many people anticipate a potentially blockbuster report to Congress chock full of detailed information about what Mueller found regarding possible wrongdoing by this president. What is their platform?
