Biden Responds to Trump's Tweet of Doctored Video

Former Vice President Joe Biden has made statements regarding his allegedly inappropriate physical contact with women for a second day in a row.

"I just want you to know I had permission to hug Lonnie!".

The welcoming, mostly male audience responded with laughter and cheers.

Later, during the same speech before the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Biden invited a group of children onstage, shaking their hands and putting his arm around one boy.

Biden also told the press that he wouldn't be surprised if more people accused him of inappropriately touching them. On Thursday, he posted a video online in which he said he would be "much more mindful" when interacting with people. But he stopped short of apologizing.

The comments followed Mr. Biden's first public appearance since the women began coming forward with stories about his touching, hugging and kissing that, while not characterized as sexual assault, made them uncomfortable.

Dingell said, "I'm from the midwest, and I'm going to tell you--I told you for three years... that President Trump could become president because he listened to people in the midwest, he talked about economic issues, he talked about issues that mattered to working people". I'm not sorry for any of my intentions. "I'm not sorry for anything that I have ever done - I've never been disrespectful intentionally, to a man or a woman". "I think he´s only a threat to himself". Trump described Biden, who appears on the cusp of announcing a White House bid, as "going through a situation".

The enduring controversy underscores the challenge the 76-year-old career politician faces should he run.

Biden served under former Vice President Barack Obama, whom many have charged as both too "sophisticated" and "elitist", including former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, during her 2008 run for the Democratic nomination against Obama.

"Yeah, I think I'm a very good messenger, and people got a kick out of it", he said.

"I don't see Joe Biden as a threat", Trump said.

Asked about it on Friday morning as he prepared to leave for California, the president defended the tweet, arguing that it was light-hearted.

He criticized Trump, arguing the president undermines the country's core values and is obsessed with settling personal scores.

Chuck Todd asked if Biden is right about the Democratic party still being the Obama/Biden party or if he's just hoping for that to be the case.
