Several buildings have been damaged after a tornado-warned storm moved through Franklin.

The severe weather threat Saturday and Sunday placed almost 100 million Americans at risk of risky storms, tornadoes, hail and severe wind gusts, CNN Meteorologist Haley Brink said.

Franklin, Texas, roughly 125 miles south of Dallas, was nearly entirely flattened by a tornado, according to the Robertson County Sheriff's Office. South Mississippi in under a slight and enhanced risk for severe storms, which is a level 2 and 3 out of 5 for the probability of severe weather occurring within 25 miles of your location.

The tornado watch is in effect through 3 a.m. Monday, the NWS said.

The large storm system also knocked out power to thousands and caused some flash flooding.

The National Weather Service says a twister was reported Saturday night in the Vicksburg, Mississippi, area. At least one mobile home was destroyed, throwing a man from the mobile home.

The storm surge has been made up of a mix of strong winds, heavy rain, flooding and even tornadoes.

The forecast of severe weather forced officials at the Masters in Augusta, Georgia, to start the final round of the tournament early on Sunday in order to finish in midafternoon before it began raining.

Two children, ages 3 and 8, were killed when a tree fell on their auto as storms hammered east Texas.

Public Information Officer Glenn Springfield also confirmed to PEOPLE that over the weekend, a 13-year-old boy died in West Monroe, Louisiana, after drowning in a drainage area.

But tornadoes aren't the only possible cause of destruction Sunday. Starting out with hit and miss storms this morning, storms should remain below severe limits early but that all changes later today.

As the storm moved east, one person was killed by a tornado in the northern MS, according to Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley.

"It looks like a storm came up through Louisiana and into MS and exploded in Monroe County", Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell told CNN.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for portions of central and eastern Kentucky.

Two different rounds of strong storms are expected to track through the WJZ-TV viewing area.
